This one…isn’t BMX related. In the years prior to BMX, I was an avid sci-fi nerd (still am) who also loved fantasy, like Lord Of The Rings, fairies and gnomes kinda stuff. Well, at 11 years of age, I was taken to see this movie and it rocked my world. Completely changed my view of everything, even introduced me to the idea of mythology and it’s role in life and religion. Of course I needed a tangible piece of this to remind me how important it was…so I was a big Star Wars toy collector as a kid…and an adult. Nowadays I only have the old classic stuff from my childhood stuffed away in an attic but the memories, like many people my age, of first seeing Star Wars is burned into my soul for eternity.
