Throwback Thursday

The brothers Moraller. Some of my earliest friends in the stone age of BMX were the Morallers. Because of them I was able to see the Jag World Championships in 1980. At that time the largest BMX race in the world. They trucked us all out to Indianapolis in 1980 and it was a BLAST! Here, Andy on the left and Barry on the right show off ribbons…and more hair. This was BMX during it’s formative years in NJ. It was raw, it was real, it was plastic helmets and hockey chin guards.

For more BMX crazines pick up my book, “The Average BMXer” available on Kindle, and on Lulu.com in e-pub and Hardcover form.
