At some point the next generation takes over and this is a pretty huge taking over by the next generation. Alex Capecelatro, who I met at a BMX flatland gathering a couple years ago is going in big with a social media platform called “atthepool”. It gathers people not by “whether or not you know them” but by whether or not they share your interests. Let’s face it, how many friends do you have on FB who you want to strangle with their posts as you wonder… “are they nuts?” Atthepool, helps you find people you don’t know by what you commonly like, then hopefully, you can get off the ‘net and actually DO SOMETHING! LOL!
I find this a refreshing idea and wish Alex C all the best. Plus…he’s a tech CEO who is also a BMXer-Alt. Bike Rider…what could be better? A initial public offering that makes him the world’s first multi-billion dollar BMXer-CEO…OK that would be better.
