Mongoose motomag. If you ask a lot of people my age what their first BMX bike was they will say, Mongoose. First off, cool name. Second off, BMX Action Magazine said they were great. We bought them. This right here is my REAL BMX bike. A Mongoose Motomag with alloy bars, comp II tires and a mongoose gold stem. I was so stoked on this thing, you have no idea. Standing next to me is my Mom, at the time, 53 years old. Crazy right. Gotta love the station wagon…the family choice of transport in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Oh and the location, 171 Misty Lane, Middlesex, NJ. A great era to grow up in.
\nWait…one more thing…Sugino 3 piece alloy cranks! Man, we bent a LOT of those alloy cranks before Flight Cranks came along…<\/p>\n
